WeatherNet is a meteoroligical data grid prototype. Data is transported across the grid using well defined formats, specified by WSDL and accessed via SOAP calls. This approach to standardization is consistent with the National Digital Forecast Database XML web service. A white paper on WeatherNet has been written and is accessible in HTML and PDF.
